The pilot program is currently being evaluated by an external evaluator. The next phase is to create a long term fund to heal the core of the community and change the conditions that reinforce systemic racial inequities and endanger lives in the St. Louis region. The goal of this fund is to heal individual and community trauma, engage a broader range of residents in systems change work, prepare leaders of color to organize and capacity-build for healing justice and align resources for long-term sustainability. As initially outlined in the Ferguson Commission report, it would be a 25-year managed fund or lifetime endowment.
